Fruits are one of the most popular items on grocery store shelves, and for good reason – they are packed with health benefits! Here are just a few of the many benefits of fruits:

1. Fruits are a great source of vitamins and minerals.

Aside from being a great source of fiber and nutrients, some fruits are also high in vitamins and minerals. For example, an apple has about 26% of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) for vitamin C, as well as other essential nutrients like folate, potassium, and magnesium. In addition, many fruits are also good sources of antioxidants which can help protect against heart disease and other diseases.

2. Fruits are a good source of natural energy.

Unlike sugary drinks or processed foods which can provide instant energy, fruits provide lasting energy because they contain natural sugars.
