STOMACH FLU (GASTROENTERITIS): CAUSES, SIGNS, SYMPTOMS, AND PREVENTIVE MEASURES

 

Stomach flu is also called gastroenteritis. Therefore, it is the condition when the intestines and stomach inside the body get irritation and inflammation. Causes of stomach flu( Gastroenteritis)

Anybody can catch stomach influenza. Also, you can get it on the places where individuals share common space, residing or eating spaces for example:

Norovirus and rotavirus are the main culprits. Also, they affect adults and children respectively.

 

Signs and Symptoms

The main signs and symptoms of gastroenteritis are mentioned below-

  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Stomach pain
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Fever
  • Cramping

Due to vomiting and diarrhea, the body might become dehydrated. Therefore, several signs that reflect your body is dehydrated are dry skin and dry mouth.  Also, thirst, general weakness, dizziness, dark urine etc.

 

Preventive Measures for Stomach flu

These are some of the basic measures that people should follow in their day-to-day life. Also, such activities help a person stay away from various kinds of infections. Moreover, they can prevent other diseases.

  • Sanitize places
  • Maintain hygiene all around
  • Practice using separate personal items
